- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Daniela Stock is an NHMRC Senior Research Fellow and heads the Structural Biology Program at The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in Sydney. She received a degree in mineralogy and crystallography from the Free University of Berlin in 1992 followed by a PhD in Structural Biology at the Max-Planck Institute in Munich (Kekulé Fellowship with Robert Huber studying 20S proteasomes) in 1996 and postdoctoral work at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK (EMBO long-term fellowship with John Walker studying ATP synthase). From 2000 she led an independent group at the MRC LMB (MRC Career Development Award) studying molecular machines and moved to Australia in 2006 to start up Structural Biology at the VCCRI. Her lab is interested in structure determination of membrane protein complexes and in method development to facilitate their structure determination.
